Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional Therapy looks at potential nutritional imbalances and how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns, but there is more….
As a Nutritional Therapist I am working with clients to improve their health & well-being not just by looking into nutrition, but also looking into sleep patterns, exercise, stress levels, relationships, and genetics. All these are influenced by specific predisposing factors such as gender or age, events such as grief, trauma or environmental toxins, and ongoing physiological processes such as hormones, but also thoughts and beliefs, possibly resulting in fundamental imbalances in the body and eventually cause disease.
Whilst Nutritional Therapy does not seek to diagnose or treat disease, it is common that during your consultation, it will become apparent which areas of your body, and your life more generally, should become the main focuses of attention in the recommended nutritional and lifestyle modification programme.
I am accepting new clients at the moment (FaceTime or Zoom consultations and, in some cases, home visits), so if you would like to know what Nutritional Therapy can do for you, Take advantage of a FREE 15 minutes telephone consultation. This way we can discuss what you would like to achieve and ensure that you will get out of a consultation what you need.
Nothing is making life more joyful than being in good health! Nutritional Therapy is not about a quick fix, it is a journey, and I'm there to help you along the way.

My practice is based on the Functional Medicine Model.
Functional Medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual (IFM 2014). I completed an intensive 5-day training course by the Institute for Functional Medicine called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice™ (AFMCP™-UK) in 2017.
Nutritional Therapy is not a replacement for medical advice, and I will always refer any client with ‘Red Flag’ signs or symptoms to their GP.
Always inform your GP before starting any therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.

Nutritional Therapy is not about a quick fix, it is a journey, and I'm there to help you along the way.
1) Getting started
Before you see me, I will ask you to fill in a health questionnaire and a 3-day food diary, which you will need to return to me at least 48 hours before our appointment. This will provide me with the chance to review your case in advance and enable us to make the most of the consultation time.
If you have any test results from the last 6 months, such as blood tests, stool sample tests, etc., please send these with the forms you initially filled in. Please bring any medication or supplements you're currently taking to our first appointment and ensure these are documented on the forms I send you to complete. This is important as some nutritional supplements should not be taken with certain medicines.
3) Follow-up consultation (about 6 weeks later)
During the follow-up consultation, which will last about 60 minutes, we will review your progress, and I will update your personal plan if needed. In some cases, further consultation may be required 4 – 6 weeks later to again assess progress and revise your personal plan.
2) Initial consultation
During the first consultation, which will last at least 90 minutes, we will establish your therapeutic goals to improve your health, based on the information you provide and what we discuss.
Within 2 working days after the consultation, I will provide you with a personal plan, considering your individual situation and requirements.
This plan will involve advice on nutrition and lifestyle, and if needed, recommendations on supplements you should take and/or further testing that should be undertaken.
